"Egos & Stilettos" Winner 3rd Shoe to your right

Thank you to all who participated and attended the Steppin Workshop and Stepper's Affair despite a day of nothing but rain. Instructor and VA Crew, Big Tim, Chaundra & CJ, SevenCitiesSteppers who reminds of why we are learning this dance, Stepper's of Boston, Steppin in the Bean, Nina and her friend, Deanna and friends from Attleboro and RI, and the rest of our 1st time attendees to a stepper's set.  DJ SeanSkillz, Bruce Burgess for the Lighting and Comedian LadyVain.  Special thanks to Ms April Johnson, Ethnic Expressions & Valerie Wales, Steppers of Boston and the Doubletree Guest Suites Staff who held it down while MsSonia "make it do what it do"
 
Congratulations to Chaundra who was our Stiletto Diva for the night and the other Diva's who strutted those HOTT shoes...Goldfinger, Nina, & Terez.  Chaundra 7CS, took home the Stilletto STocking with gifts from Fredricks of Hollywood, and to Joni Spicer who won the Raffle and took home a centerpiece, barware & stemware made for 2 and $25 Gas Card!  I appreciate any feedback you can provide comments, suggestions via blog or email.

MsSonia is working on the calendar for 2010 as MJ stated "THIS IS IT" that  WAS IT for 2009: Summer STeptacular and Veteran's Weekend Steppin.  However, save the dates Aug 6 - 8, 2010 NE Affair:BOSTON it may be happenin again next summer!  I do have a wedding & event business to run but Steppin kind of took over this year with business slowing down.  Check back in the New Year before you make any travel plans.  Let's see what's happening in all of the NE steppin calendars plus it's Snow season/ski season.

From Friday night hanging with Harold Austin & Marvin, 30+ at the RED FEZ,  it was nice to be re-acquainted with Harold & Marvin and meeting Maria and future steppers Terry and his wife, and the other brothers who came thru.  Then, Sat workshops and the close of my weekend ended at the Touchfm Radio Station Anniversary party where I participated with Steppin in the Bean as part of the special entertainment for the evening.  Nonetheless I was honored to meet         Ms. Aiyanna Pressley, City Council Member at-large and the owners  of Touch Radio station John & Charles.  I also met other community advocates and Mr. Bradley of  "APLUSIMAGES" Photography.  Definitely tired upon my return home, I missed my Sunday night "Steppin in Paradise" with DJ Kelvin & chat room friends and fell asleep before the game was over.  I hope the Patriots won!  Until next time.....STEPPIN4MATUREAUDIENCEONLY

 I heard there were 8 rooms of music, Wow!!

It was nice to catch up with steppin duo Taqwa & Terez of Steppin in the Bean.
Taqwa  is on the move to make sure he leaves no stone unturned as he is now categorized as a non-profit introducing Steppin to youth in Boston.  Outside of that it is his goal to convince the brothers this is a gentlemens dance. His visit to Chicago has certainly made him more determined then before to continue introducing this dance to all of New England.  Interested in learning this social dance don't just call be THERE.  Steppin in the Bean classes are scheduled on Fridays in Grove Hall "Biff's Lounge" 7-9, Parking Available. Single men/women, Couples welcomed.

Hat's off to Tracey & Scott for being such wonderful HOST.  It was nice to see ALL the Steppers in the house from ea group "Getting their Step on!  Steppin, Line Dancin, Promoting & recruiting.  Keep up the good work.  There were all shades of brown - orange matching the New England Foliage change.  TMZ moment-  Why was Valerie (Steppin in the Bean Val) on the FLOOR...what happened girl.  Just glad to know she was ok and no injuries.

Steptember to Remember Workshop Pic 2009

The workshop was great although the day got longer by my second class.  Thanks Sarah for taking time out of your busy schedule to come this way by invite from the Steppers of Boston.  Sarah makes it look so simple and can dance her but off.  Great Job Val, & Crew on workshops and grand NITE! The set was  very nice just like a Stepper's Set should be..Adult Atmosphere, Cocktail Dress and steppin music the entire night.  Shout out to Rudy on his setup and spins...until he messed up our wanna be TRIO...I think we all got an eye-opener on the TRIO...in words of Sarah...DISASTER.  don't try this in Boston ALONE. It was nice meeting you Nina ttys.  Shout out to Oliver & PamJ, NYC Steppers & Jersey crew ...did not meet you girls yet but we missed  u Marty...see ya next time, some where.  Sean, I guess u will sign up early next workshop but it was good to see you on the floor that night getting some practice in..  we missed you April.J.   Finally, I overslept and missed the brunch from the long day but heard it was successful as well.  Don't forget to get your feedback back to the Steppers of Boston Board in help in planning future events.   Hope to see ya again in NOV 14 at the "Stepper's AFFAIR" at Doubletree Guest Suites all of my steppin friends.  Again I had fun until then  "Steppin for the Mature Audience Only"  Ms Sonia
